In any case, I know plenty of you are interested in writing non-fiction so here’s a link to a competition being run by Glasgow University, looking for short ‘narrative non-fiction’ pieces. They define that term – and exactly what they’re looking for – here:

She also sent a link to a blog where, as she explains, ‘the author answers a random scientific question that readers send. He manages to do it in such an inventive way [and] it’s refreshing to read something a bit fun and creative on those subject areas.’
